Airlines

Southwest Airlines is known for its low fares. Plus, they are probably the only carrier that does not charge for luggage up to a certain number of bags according to their tarriff (consider size and weight of luggage as key factors also) ! That can save about $40 EACH WAY just on the air fare. For the Expo you can fly Southwest into/or leave from either LaGuardia Airport in New York City or Long Island Airport (ISP) also known as Islip Airport and also  Macarthur Airport or LI Macarthur. Be aware that travel into and out of Newark Lliberty International Aiport is on the "other" side (west) of the metropolitan area. Newark Liberty International Airport is not convenient to the Expo venue in Brooklyn, New York City. However it IS convenient if you are going into Manhattan prior to the Expo or prior to the LI 5 College Consortium Education Job Fair in Brookville, NY.

Spirit Airlines also serves Long Island from many Florida cities.

JetBlue is known to offer low fares to NY City/LI-NY from the greater Los Angeles and San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose, CA area (Long Beach, Ontario, Oakland Airports in CA); Las Vegas area, NV; Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, Tempe, Cave Creek, Goodyear, Glendale, Avondale, Gilbert, Chandler and other Phoenix area cities in Arizona; Columbus, OH; Seattle, WA; Buffalo, NY; Salt Lake City, UT; New Orleans and several airport cities in Florida. They fly into Kennedy International (JFK) and LaGuardia (LGA.)
